Sean Kiernan

Founder & Chief Executive

Sean has extensive experience in financial services, having worked in various roles in executive management.


Most recently, Sean was the COO of the London office of the first bank in the world to offer crypto products to clients.

Laurence Hemming

Non-executive Director

Laurence is a Professor at Lancaster University, with a joint appointment in the Business School as well as in Politics, Philosophy and Religion.

He has taught business ethics at the Lancaster University Management School and is extensively published, most recently in a book on the  philosophy of work. His doctorate is from the University of Cambridge.

Tim Davies

Chief Risk Officer

Tim has over 25 years experience of risk management, holding senior managerial positions in investment banking, energy trading, payment services and broking. He has helped build an investment bank, integrated the risk functions and managed the risks associated with a number of mergers & acquisitions. Tim has a degree in Chemical Physics, an MBA (majoring on the SME sector) and is qualified and experienced in marketing (DipM, MCIM) 

Matvej Shpakov

Business Development

A serial digital asset entrepreneur, Matvej is well connected in the crypto economy and has a strong background in sales and commercial trading. His approach is novel and genuine, and will ensure that the client is the centre of everything at Greengage.

Yang Yu

Financial Controller

Yang is a technically strong and commercial minded professional accountant with great experience in accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, financial control, auditing and taxation. He is member of both ACCA and ICAEW, he is also a  Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Most recently, he was associate director in Finance and Accounting of the London branch of a Swiss private bank.

Jarod Olivier

Technical Business Analyst 

Jarod has worked within the IT industry in both the banking and financial sectors. With experience in building banks and regulatory projects, he brings a variety of skills and knowledge in both Business Analysis and Project Management. Aligning business and technology allows him to drive and deliver projects from concept to the final product.

Samantha Blunden


Samantha has worked in Accounting for over 20 years, starting out in property accounting as a Service Charge Accountant and leading to Client Accounting where she gained her management expertise.Her skills include Payroll, VAT, Corporation Tax, Accounts preparation, Bank Reconciliation, Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and the migration of data from numerous systems.

Andrea Davis

Non-executive Director

Andrea Davis is a Managing Director at Investcorp where she leads the European Operating team. Prior to that she held the role of CFO at TDX Group. Before that her roles included nine year at Fellowes, a privately owned US manufacturing company, where having started as CFO she became CEO after three years as well as CFO and Strategy Director of Willett and Head of Corporate Strategy at BAA plc.

Joey Garcia

Non-executive Director

Joey, a Partner at Isolas in Gibraltar, was the co-chair of the Gibraltar Government working group/think tank which lead to the introduction of the DLT/VASP framework in Gibraltar. He was recognised as one of the top 12 lawyers globally in this space in the first Chambers ranking. He is a member of the Wharton Reg@Tech think tank, a founding member of the European think tank BLOCKtank, and a member of the Digital Chamber of Commerce in Washington. Joey is part of the UNODC cryptocurrencies technical experts’ workshop in Asia. Joey is a Xapo representative on the Diem Association and part of the Policy and Regulatory working group.

Iain Watson

Chief of Staff

As a Chartered professional, Iain has held executive and management positions in leading financial institutions based around the world.

An experienced COO, CAO, Head of Operations and Program Manager he has extensive experience in Financial Services, Operations, Technology, Strategic Planning and Program Management.

Glenn Palmer

Client Operations Director

Glenn has spent over 20 years in the wealth management and trading sector servicing the requirements of high net worth clients. His career spans periods at institutions such as Barclays Wealth, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Lehman Brothers, Oppenheimer and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Glenn is FCA CF30 registered, CISI PCIAM Level 6 qualified and is also FINRA registered in the United States.

James Tewes

Chief Information Security Officer

James is experienced in the technology space having a 24-year history working specifically within infrastructure architecture and security. James has worked as a consultant for banks of various sizes with specific focus on banks which often require rearchitecting to transform their legacy infrastructure into highly resilient, modern, efficient and secure environment ensuring they meet current standards whilst using the latest technologies.

Suzanne Molloy

Marketing & Community Manager

Suzanne brings over 16 years of marketing management, digital marketing, loyalty and partnerships experience across a variety of sectors including financial and education both client-side and agency. Suzanne has experience of designing strategies to generate leads in multi-million pound companies such as GL Assessment, Global University Systems and the Collinson Group. She has a long track record of delivering SMART goals, executing integrated digital marketing campaigns as well as broadcast media and print campaigns to drive high response rates.

Linda Darnton

Financial Services Administrator

Linda is a highly experienced Financial Services Administrator. Having worked in various roles within the wealth management and banking sectors for over twelve years, including with the first bank in the world to offer crypto products to clients, she has a passion for client satisfaction and a strong focus on relationship building and regulatory requirements. She holds a Level 4 IAD qualification.

Hirander Misra

Non-executive Director

Hirander is a Co-founder of the Group and also Chairman of GMEX Technologies. He is also Chairman of Forum Trading Solutions and Managing Director of Misra Ventures, a consultancy providing specialist senior level advisory services and helping firms deliver change in market structure, trading and regulatory compliance.

Philip Acton

Non-executive Director

Philip has worked in banking and microfinance for more than 30 years, and has been CEO of UK SME challenger bank Civilised (now Allica) and also My Community Bank (a UK-wide digital retail bank). Philip began his career in retail banking with HSBC in London, Brunei and Hong Kong. He contributed to the establishment of Triodos Bank, a specialist social and environmental bank, in the UK in 1995 and was appointed Head of Personal Banking in 2005. Philip was CEO of Accès Banque Madagascar (ABM), a full service national bank serving 26,000 micro and SME businesses throughout Madagascar. 

Mark Pickering

Chief Technical Officer

Mark has worked in the IT Industry for over 25 years, starting out as a developer for Unisys and moving up through the ranks to Technical Architect before starting his own specialist Financial Services Consultancy company. A natural tech entrepreneur with a head for business gives him the unique ability to join the two worlds of FinTech.

Heather Bourgeois-Arthur


Heather has over 25 years of experience in the financial services Treasury function, at a diverse number of top tier banks such as Credit Suisse (head of EMEA Treasury Oversight), Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Nomura International and ICBC Standard Bank. Heather, as Treasurer, led the implementation of the treasury function at a small private bank. Additionally, Heather was a senior specialist contractor at Grant Thornton Business Risk Services, as a treasury SME, where she performed assurance work at a top 5 US financial institution as well as challenger banks.

Gavin Smith


Gavin brings a scientifically based approach to our product development and analysis by determining segment product preferences, analysing market behaviour and trends (including competitor initiatives) in order to grow Greengage's portfolio of products and services.

Robert Andersen

Digital Asset Sales

Robert brings over 25 years of capital markets experience in trading and sales of financial instruments across asset classes having worked for leading investment banks and brokerages globally. Robert's clients benefit from his expertise in financial analysis and market risk management coupled to his mediation and negotiation skills. He  holds a BSc in Philosophy and Mathematics.

Aemiro Habte

Research and Administration intern

Aemiro is a Fintech postgrad at Imperial College Business School who previously studied Geology at Imperial College London. He has been involved in the blockchain space for over 3 years and has experience with various programming languages including R, Python and Solidity.
